For the third year in a row the Z Car Club Sydney held its
annual club Season opening Concourse in Gannons Park, Peakhurst on Sunday the 17th of
September in conjunction with the Lugarno Lions Club Spring Festival. The Festival once
again it was a great success with an estimated crowd of 25,000! The biggest ever!
There were thirty eight club members who entered their cars for judging in
the Concourse. Everything from the classic Datsun 240Z to the Nissan 300ZX
(Z32). Heavily modified and classy cars through to examples of concourse
standard cars were represented.
Trophies awarded for both Standard and Modified cars in each category. As usual,
there were also prizes awarded in the Motorsport, Street Machine, Best Non-Z Nissan/Datsun
car categories, as well as the Best Display & peoples' choice "Car of the Show" award.
As usual, the Spring Fair attracted a large crowd interested in the many
classic and vintage cars and bikes displayed by the variety of enthusiast
clubs that participate in the Spring Fair each year. There was plenty of
interest in members' cars from visitors and fellow enthusiasts, with
numerous inquiries regarding the club as well.
Twenty seven trophies were presented to the winners and runners up in the various categories.
Next Year the concourse will be held once again on September 16th!
