Baby New Year moves his party to the Motor City beginning January 8th as Detroit hosts the North
American International Auto Show. We hope to join more than 6500 of auto scribes from around the globe to
descend upon the massive Cobo Hall and catch a first glimpse at the vehicles hitting the road in '06.
The annual North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), this year open to the media from Jan. 8-11
and to the public beginning the Friday after. Like no other show, Detroit puts a huge variety of hardware
on display - much of it never seen before. Productions cars as well as the concepts that will
inspire what we drive over the next few years.
Detroit Auto Show Fun Facts:
6800 Journalists from 63 Countries
700,000 Square feet of exhibit space
The show brings in $580,000,000 in revenue
Enough carpet to cover 750 football fields
The show uses enough electricity to power 180 homes....for one whole year
Construction workers, work for 10 weeks building the displays

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. President and Chief Executive Officer Carlos Ghosn
introduced three new
Nissan vehicles at the 2006 North American International Auto Show - the all-new 2007 Nissan Sentra
sedan, the all-new 2007 Nissan Versa and a dynamic sports car design exercise, the Nissan URGE.
Mr. Ghosn also provided a brief update on Nissan's continuing success in the United States market.
Nissan and Infiniti combined sales passed the one million mark in calendar year 2005, with the total
of 1,076,670 units representing an increase of 9.6% over calendar year 2004.
Shiro Nakamura, design director, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., also demonstrated
the Infiniti Coupe Concept
at the 2006 North American International Auto Show. The Infiniti Coupe Concept, which is highlighted
by a low, aggressive stance, wide 20-inch wheels and tires and Infiniti signature grille, was created
by the Nissan Technical Center, Atsugi, Japan.
