NISMO Z Team Scores Its First Win of the Season

The SUPER GT in Kyushu 300 km, Round 8 of the 2006 AUTOBACS SUPER GT, took place at
the Autopolis (one lap 4.674 km) in Oita Pref. on October 14, and in the GT500 class the
No. 23 XANAVI NISMO Z driven by Satoshi Motoyama and Tsugio Matsuda won their first victory
of the season in the GT500 class. In the GT300 class, the No. 2 Privée Zurich Shiden driven
by Kazuho Takahashi and Hiroki Katoh won their long-awaited first GT300 victory

NSX claims second consecutive Motegi Victory

The MOTEGI GT300km race, Round 7 of the 2006 AUTOBACS SUPER GT, took place at Twin
Ring Motegi (one lap 4.801 km) in Tochigi Pref. on September 10, and the No.100 RAYBRIG
NSX driven by Sebastien Philippe and Shinya Hosokawa raced to their first victory of the
season in the GT500 class. In the GT300 class, the No.11 JIM CENTER FERRARI DUNLOP
(Tetsuya Tanaka and Takayuki Aoki) claimed the class victory.

CALSONIC IMPUL Z team
runs a perfect race!

Round 6 of the 2006 AUTOBACS SUPER GT series, the 35th International Pokka 1000km race,
was held at the Suzuka Circuit (Mie Pref.) on August 20, and scoring their first win
of the season were the No.12 CALSONIC IMPUL Z team (drivers Benoit Treluyer, Jeremie Dufour
and Kazuki Hoshino). In the GT300 class, the Proµ TAIYO OIL KUMHO CELICA team
(drivers Hironori Takeuchi, Koki Saga and Keita Sawa) also won their first GT victory
of the season.

move brings ZENT CERUMO SC its 1st win of the season XANAVI NISMO Z just misses its 1st win

The SUGO GT 300km Race, round 5 of the AUTOBACS SUPER GT series, took place on July 23 at
Sportsland SUGO (Miyagi Prefecture). In the GT500 class No. 1 ZENT CERUMO SC (drivers: Yuji
Tachikawa, Toranosuke Takagi) ran from the pole position to the win. In the GT300 class No.
46 Kiccho houzan DIREZZA Z (drivers Kota Sasaki, Taku Bamba) won one of the closest finishes
in GT history.

ARTA NSX wins
revenge race, No.2 Z finishing second, No.12 Z in third

The JAPAN GT CHAMPIONSHIP MALAYSIA, Round 4 of the 2006 AUTOBACS SUPER GT series was held
on June 25 at the Sepang International Circuit.
Despite the thin cloud cover, the temperature rose higher than Saturday. Before the start
of the race it had reached 33 C. with a track temperature of 44 C. During the race the clouds
cleared and the temperature rose further, making for tough conditions on the track.

First GT500 victory for TOYOTA TEAM KRAFT
, third No. 23 XANAVI NISMO Z

The FUJI GT500km (4.563km/~110 laps) race, the third round of the 2006 AUTOBACS SUPER GT
series, was held on May 4 at Fuji Speedway (Shizuoka Pref.). The winner in the GT500 class
was the No. 35 BANDAI DIREZZA SC430 (Naoki Hattori and Peter Dumbreck). In the GT300 class,
the No. 62 WILLCOM ADVAN VEMAC 408R (Shinsuke Shibahara and Hiroyuki Yagi) came from a 4th
place in the qualifying to win the final.

TAKATA Dome NSX scores awesome victory
, 3nd No.22 MOTUL AUTECH Z

In the second round of the 2006 AUTOBACS SUPER GT series, the OKAYAMA GT300km held on April 9
at the Okayama International Circuit (3.703km), the TAKATA Dome NSX driven by Ryo Michigami and
Takashi Kogure scored a decisive runaway victory.
In the GT300 class, the win went to the direxiv ADVAN 320R driven by Shogo Mitsuyama and
Nobuteru Taniguchi. It was the team's first GT win.

While the sky was not threatening when the race started at 14:30, a cold wind had
been blowing since morning and grew consistently stronger in the afternoon. As the
machines took to the track for the formation lap, feelings were uneasy about the
unstable weather front, and the clouds drifting through occasionally dropped rain
mixed with snow. The engine of the No.2 car of Privee Zurich/Apple Shiden, 6th on
the grid in the GT300 class, failed to start for the formation lap and had to start
from the pit.
Ford GT arrived Friday, but machine could not be completed before qualifying, ending
chances to run on the weekend.

Addition of KONDO Racing means
four teams and five Z cars in GT500
|
February 8: Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. Tokyo headquarters: Nissan announced today their motorsport plans for
fiscal 2006. A total of five Z33-type Fairlady Z (350Z) cars will contest the GT500 class in SUPER GT
this season, with a further four privately-entered cars from three teams taking on the GT300 class.
